Culturally Responsive Evaluation Training for Nonprofit Leaders
Two Pathways to Justice-Driven Evaluation
Tiyuv builds internal capacity for justice-driven organizations. We offer evaluation training and mentoring program development to equip your nonprofit leadership team with practical, culturally responsive skills that make a real difference. Our goal is to shift evaluation from a tool of gatekeeping to a practice of justice and accountability.
We offer two primary educational pathways: a fellowship for emerging evaluators and customized workshops for your current team.
PATH #1:
Tiyuv טִיוּב Evaluator Training and Mentoring Program
The Tiyuv Evaluator Training and Mentoring Program is an active, hands-on learning experience designed to develop a new generation of culturally responsive evaluators. The program brings together Jews of Color and BIPOC leaders from diverse communities who are learning side by side, building real skills, and applying evaluation as a tool for equity, accountability, and community leadership.
Participants learn directly from national evaluation leaders through a structured series of classes, workshops, and professional development opportunities. Fellows become members of the American Evaluation Association (AEA), gain exposure to the broader professional field, and build practical skills they can apply in their professional lives. Throughout the program, participants receive mentorship, peer support, and opportunities to deepen their understanding of culturally responsive evaluation within their own organizational and career contexts.
This shared learning environment builds trust, relationships, and cross-community solidarity. Graduates leave with the confidence and capacity to lead evaluation efforts in their own settings, strengthen decision making, and champion equitable practices within their organizations.
The program is now expanding beyond the Jewish communal space to include partnerships with BIPOC-led and multiracial organizations. This expansion reflects our belief that evaluation can serve as a bridge across communities. By learning together, participants deepen understanding, confront racism and antisemitism, and build a network of leaders who are equipped to drive change and strengthen resilience across movements.
